How hyperMILL®, HERMLE, and Fraisa saved Santa's Christmas

Christmas is just around the corner, and Santa's workshop is normally a hive of activity. But not everything went smoothly this year: the shortage of skilled workers has affected the Christmas workshop! There weren't enough loyal helpers to prepare the countless presents in time.

But Santa knew exactly who he could turn to - and of course, we didn't let him down. We had the solution with HERMLE USA and Fraisa USA: lots of little Santas! The NC programs were generated with hyperMILL® and, thanks to hyperMILL® VIRTUAL Machining, the programs were proven-out quickly and securely. Lots of little helpers were machined on a HERMLE C 400 with an automation cell and tools from Fraisa.

Now that we have saved Christmas, Santa can relax in the run-up to the festive season. With his new employees, Santa can deliver all the presents on time. Do you want to see the story? Then watch our Christmas video 2024!

We hope you enjoy watching. Have a relaxing holiday season and a prosperous start to 2025!

Short story about Santa Claus

The legend we know as Santa Claus is rooted in the legend of Saint Nicholas of Myra, a 4th-century bishop known for his generosity. Over the centuries, various traditions have emerged, and St. Nicholas has taken on new forms throughout history among different cultures. For example, the figure of Santa Claus in America developed from the Dutch tradition of "Sinterklaas". Since then, Santa Claus, with his reindeer sleigh, a sack of presents and a red suit, has appeared in stories, pictures and multiple films.
Throughout the 20th century, Santa Claus became popular worldwide through advertising campaigns and has been a symbol of joy, generosity, hope and the magic of Christmas ever since.
